Background analysis:

As the railway system carries heavier load and the operating speed accelerates, when the rail is under huge pressure and torsion for a long time, it will cause the steel rail creepage, commonly known as "snake change". When the "snake change" is serious, it will cause serious safety accidents such as train derailment. In June 2016, the rails of a train on the east line of Taiwan seemed to have deformed due to high temperature, causing 6 cars to derail. On October 5 of the same year, rail breaking accidents occurred successively between Guiding South Railway Station and Kaili Construction Section of the railway between Guiding and Gaopingpu. Therefore, it is very important to monitor the rail creepage. The magnetic orientation instrument developed by Guochuang Intelligent can meet the requirements of rail creepage monitoring. Using the functions of magnetic positioning and attitude measurement, it can carry out real-time online, fast and accurate monitoring of the rail, and transmit data on the degree of "snake deformation" in real time to the control display terminal and send positioning and warning information so that the maintenance department and personnel can solve related safety hazards in time to ensure the safe operation of the railway.


As shown in the figure above, the magnetic orientation instrument is hard-linked with the rail to be tested using aluminum alloy, so that the magnetic orientation instrument is synchronously changed due to the rail deformation. The magnetic orientation instrument can accurately measure the deformation of rail with its positioning and attitude measurement functions.

2. The magnetic orientation instrument is hard-linked and installed in the rail "snake change" monitoring device;


3. Related algorithms include: magnetic orientation algorithm, attitude calculation algorithm, and environmental noise suppression;


4. Network data center: magnetic orientation instrument monitors rail attitude data and data collection of magnetic direction change signal;


5. Terminal console: display the working status and early warning information of the rail "snake change" monitoring device.
