The theoretical sensitivity of the micro-magnetic basic sensor with GMI effect can reach 10fT (1×10-14T), so it can measure cardiomagnetism, brain magnetism and fetal cardiomagnetism, and it has the potential advantage of replacing SQUID, which will further reduce medical costs, and make contributions to the promotion of the application of MCG, MEG and fetal MCG.

The MCG signal is mainly derived from the current generated by the flow of charged ions between the cell membranes of the heart tissue, which is triggered by the electrical activity of the heart. The main source of the magnetic field measured by MEG is the postsynaptic potential generated by the dendrites of the cone cells of the cerebral cortex. The fetal MEG is weaker than the adult MEG.
