GC-CPB Magnetic Shielding Cylinder is made of multilayer high-permeability materials (permalloy), and used to shield the geomagnetic field and the ambient interference field.

The product makes the high permeability materials into the circuit of cross section. In the external magnetic field, most of the magnetic field is concentrated in the magnetic circuit. The magnetic materials and the air in the cavity can be taken as a parallel magnetic circuit for analysis. Because the permeability of magnetic materials is thousands of times of that of air, most of the magnetic induction lines of the external magnetic field will pass along the wall of the magnetic material while few of them enters the cavity to achieve the purpose of magnetic shielding. The higher the permeability of the material, the thicker the wall and the more significant the magnetic shielding effect. Therefore, the permalloy with high permeability is often used as the shielding layer.
